What does it take to get healthy and change your lifestyle? Join us as we chat with Dr. Andrew Murray, a doctor, a runner and ultra marathoner, an advocate for physical activity, and an author.
Andrew shares some great advice on overcoming some big challenges that many people face on a daily basis in health and fitness.
How do you stay so motivated and accountable?
Knowing that there are always things that are more difficult is a good way to stay on track and keep chipping away at your goals.
Key Advice For Beginners
The first step off the couch is the most difficult. You are capable of doing amazing things with your body – you need to believe it. Find something enjoy and want to do
Andrew discusses a few great quotes and Devon and I actually chime in with some of our favourites as well.
Here are a couple of his favourite:
“Do or do not, there is no try” – Yoda.
“No matter how slowly you are going, you’re always lapping those that are on the couch”
Andrew often says his most favourite meal is the last meal he just ate. He’s also a big fan of steak.
Anything outdoors. Hiking or running throughout mountains is definitely a favourite.
